My name is Gwen D' Pots, and I’m an AV professional with over 15 years of hands-on experience in the audiovisual industry. What began as a childhood fascination with technology has grown into a lifelong passion and a fulfilling career.

From a young age, I was captivated by the way technology could enhance how we communicate and experience the world. I’d spend hours connecting stereo systems, optimizing home entertainment setups, and helping friends figure out the best way to hook up their devices. That curiosity naturally evolved into a focused career path.

In college, I formally studied audiovisual installation and integration. I dove deep into concepts like signal flow, system design, mounting techniques, and troubleshooting—all the essential skills that make AV systems reliable and high-performing. The combination of technical knowledge and hands-on work was exactly what I was looking for.

After graduating, I began my career as an AV installer, working in the field on a wide range of projects from sleek home theaters to complex corporate boardrooms. Those early years gave me practical experience and sharpened my ability to solve real-world challenges quickly and creatively.

Today, I run my own AV business where I serve as a consultant, technician, and project manager. One of my proudest achievements has been building and growing solutionforav, a platform dedicated to sharing expert AV insights, reviews, guides, and tips with a broader audience.
